Update: SP3 Matching Grant

If you have not heard, Friends of Samaritan’s Place (FSP) is actively working to match a USD $375,000 grand lovingly and generously given by Praise Cathedral, Greer, South Carolina.

“Senior Pastor Jerry Madden and Missions Pastor Mark Hill, along with everyone at Praise Cathedral have been true friends of SP since its beginning in 1998,” says FSP Chairman Max Morris.”

FSP’s goal is to match USD $125K each year for three (3) years: September 2013 – August 2016… for a total of USD $375,000.00.

The GREAT NEWS is that the first two years of the grant have been successfully claimed and matched. FSP is now currently seeking to complete matching the third and LAST YEAR of the SP3 grant campaign.

“This is an amazing and exciting opportunity to help build long-term sustainability sources for Samaritan’s Place, ” shares FSP President Marc Morris. “FSP now just needs to cross the finish line in the 3rd and final year!”

Both Samaritan’s Place and FSP are fully debt free and operate annually in the black. Therefore, every penny given for toward the SP3 Matching Fund can be directed and designated for the campaign purpose of providing renewable and sustainable resources.

Specifically, SP3 donations are going to an endowment fund and toward the purchase of additional property for micro-farming.

Remember, every dollar donated will be matched… so please keep a lookout right here for more progress reports on the SP3 campaign.
